Alane "Kay" Haught

WELLSVILLE - Alane "Kay" Haught, 63, of Wellsville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville.

She was born June 21, 1949, in Mingo Junction, the daughter of the late William and Florell (Carpenter) Flesher.

Kay graduated from Mingo High School in 1967. She was a member of the Wellsville Church of the Nazarene. She was instrumental in raising many foster children, as well as mothering numerous friends of her children.

Survivors include her husband, Paul K. Haught, whom she married June 23, 1967; two daughters: Shannon Caldwell and her husband Daryl of Wellsville, and Heather Haught of Wellsville; two sons: Kenneth Haught and his wife Sandra of Wellsville, and Paul Edward Haught and his wife Kelly of Wellsville; two sisters: Mary Jane Wells of Wellsville, and Pat Blanchard and her husband Chuck of Kingsland, GA; two brothers: Clyde "Bud" Flesher and his wife Karen of Mingo Junction, and Van Flesher and his wife Sandy of Mingo Junction; one sister-in-law: Artie Flesher of Mingo Junction; granddaughter: Cheryl Rudder of Wellsville; granddaughter: Michelle Boone of Live Oak, FL; grandson: Chance Haught of Wellsville; granddaughter: Megan Haught of Wellsville; granddaughter: Grace Haught of Wellsville; grandson: Evan Haught of Wellsville; granddaughters: Samantha Caldwell and Brittany Caldwell of Wellsville; grandson: Benjamin Caldwell of Wellsville; grandson: Preston Haught of Wellsville; great-granddaughter: Nyla Cleveger of Wellsville; great-grandson: Waylon Boone of Live Oaks, FL; bestie friend: Bonnie Persohn of Wellsville. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by two sisters: Donna Kendal and Nancy Flesher; and two brothers: Bill Flesher and Jim Flesher.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the church officiating.

Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, July 5, 2012, and from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 -8:00 pm on Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
