WELLSVILLE - AnnaVaun "Annie" Culp, 83, of Wellsville, passed away at her home on Friday, September 8, 2023, following a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 5, 1939, in Bellaire, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ralph and Catherine (Croxton) Dowling. In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Culp, two great-granddaughters: Emma and Maiya Lewis; and one great-grandson, RJ Culp. Also preceding her in death were five brothers and one sister.

Annie was employed for thirty years as a LPN for Potters Medical Center, the Osteopathic Hospital in East Liverpool, and DCI. She was a lifetime member of the Auxiliary VFW Post 5647 in Wellsville. Annie was a very faithful Christian woman and was active in the Women's Ministry at the Salvation Army in East Liverpool. She attended the Living Well Church.

Survivors include her husband, William J. "Bill" Culp, whom she married August 18, 1961; three children: Shari Pugliano of Wellsville, William (Tyna) Patterson of Hopedale, OH, and Thomas (Teresa) Culp of Union Port, OH; and one brother, Joseph Dowling of East Liverpool. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Kelly (Josh) Haddox, Robbie (Trisha) Lewis, Kevin (Heather) Patterson, Tracy (Brian) Sullivan, and Alicia Culp; and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Annie's name to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, OH  44663.
