Anthony Joseph Pugliano

WELLSVILLE - Anthony Joseph Pugliano, 72, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, at Valley Hospice at Trinity West in Steubenville following a lengthy illness.

He was born September 5, 1950, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Pete S. and Helen (Roberts) Pugliano. In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by two brothers: John and Tom Pugliano.

Anthony graduated from Wellsville High School in 1970. He was employed as a track supervisor for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel before retiring in 1998. Anthony was an avid sports fan and was always cheering for the Cleveland Browns and Indians and Notre Dame. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Anthony was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa (Edgell) Pugliano, whom he married July 20, 1974; one daughter, Michelle Stowers of East Liverpool; one son, Anthony (Breezy) Pugliano of Negley; and one brother, Rocky (Julie) Pugliano of Wellsville. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Eric, Mikayla, Kaeden, Dominic, Jhett, and Brynn; and three great-grandchildren: Julianna, Isaiah, and Kylen.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Bernard Gaeta officiating.

Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

In lieu of the flowers, the family requests that condolences be expressed in the form of cards or notes sent to Lisa at 1680 Hammond Park Drive Apt. B, Wellsville, OH 43968.
