PLANO, TX - Bettina M. "Bess" Rossi, of Plano, TX, formerly of Wellsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Medical City of Plano following a brief illness.

She was born in Midland, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Mane "Mike" and Melia (Levjnaich) Vukelich. In addition to her parents, Bess was preceded in death in 2001 by her husband, Frank J. Rossi, whom she married December 3, 1947. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Sara "Babe" Wolf and Mildred "Mickey" Shertzinger; three brothers: Milan "Doodles", Daniel "Dutch", and Ted Vukelich; and one brother-in-law, Earl Ray Betz.

Bess graduated from Lincoln High School in Midland in 1941. She was previously employed as an oil tester for Summitville Tile and also in the laboratory at Quaker State Oil before her retirement in 1989. Bess was a member of the Wellsville Historical Society, Wellsville SOI Lodge 657, The Order of the Eastern Star Crystal Chapter 18, United Steelworkers Union, and the VFW Post 5647 Ladies Auxiliary. She had many hobbies and enjoyed fine embroidery, reading, gardening, baking, cooking, and watching professional football. She was a devoted member of the former First United Methodist Church in Wellsville until its closing and most recently attended Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two daughters: Pava Rossi Sims of Dallas, TX and Melanie Rossi Casey of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Among many loving nieces and nephews and friends, Bess leaves her "special daughter" Janice Anderson of Lisbon; brother-in-law, Pat Rossi, Jr. of CA; and sister-in-law: Shirley Rossi Keating of Ohio.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Stanley of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 2:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street, Wellsville, OH  43968.
