WELLSVILLE - Betty J. Hughes, 86, of Wellsville, went to be with her husband in Heaven on Friday, June 13, 2014.

She was born February 24, 1928, in Irondale, OH, the daughter of the late Paul and Emma (Grimm) Fishback.

Betty was a loving wife and mother.

Betty was preceded in death on March 7, 2014, by her husband, William Howard Hughes, whom she married July 19, 1947.

Survivors include two daughters: Helen Hughes and Jennifer Bailey, both of Wellsville; three sons: Robert Hughes and his wife, Sheila, of Ft. Worth, TX, Richard Hughes and his wife, Mary, of Ft. Worth, TX, and Randy Hughes of Parkersburg, WV; one sister: Dorothy Patterson of Wellsville; two granddaughters: Bailey and Emily Hughes; and two grandsons: Paul Hughes and Matthew Smith.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Beth Hughes, and her son, William O. Hughes.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 16, 2014, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Seigler officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
