Betty Lucile Newlan

WELLSVILLE - Betty Lucile Newlan, 94, of Wellsville, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

She was born September 20, 1926, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Forest and Bertha (Spriggs) Buck. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death on May 22, 2017, by her husband, Harvey L. Newlan, whom she married March 7, 1952. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Norma Crawford; and three brothers: Junior, Homer, and Bill Buck.

Betty had been employed in the jigger shop and as a finisher for TS&T Pottery.

Survivors include one son, Steve Newlan and his wife, Tanna, of Wellsville; three grandchildren: Stephanie (Dave) Brown of Wellsville, Jessica (Chris) Milton of Charlotte, NC, and Dominic Andrew Bucci of Wellsville; and two great-grandchildren: Levi and Samuel.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville, with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Betty's name to a charity of your choice.
