Bonnie K. Wright

WELLSVILLE - Bonnie K. Wright, 68, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born December 7, 1953, in Chester, WV, the daughter of the late William Howard and Audrey Virginia (Knox) Newbrough. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death on January 23, 2001, by her husband, Paul M. Wright, Sr., whom she married August 13, 1970. She was also preceded in death by four brothers: William Newbrough, Mike Newbrough, Denny Wilson, and Bob Wilson.

Bonnie graduated from Oak Glen High School in 1971. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, sister, Gammy, and great-grandmother. Bonnie was a member of the Wellsville Eagles Aerie 772, Wellsville VFW Post 5647, and Wellsville American Legion Post 70. She loved hanging out in her pool all summer, and holidays were her favorite times of the year.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two sons: P.J. Wright and his wife, Kelley, of Wellsville, and John Wright and his fiancee, Jaimee, of Wellsville; four grandchildren: Griffin, Justin, Angelina, and Natalia, all of Wellsville; and two great-grandchildren: Lila Grey Wright and Jamison Michael Wright. Also surviving are many great friends.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Click of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
