Brenda L. Galvin

MULLICA HILL, NJ. - Brenda L. Galvin, 61, of Mullica Hill, N.J., formerly of Wellsville, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Inspira Underwood Hospital, in Woodbury, New Jersey, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born May 20, 1952, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Robert and Betty J. (Cornell) Freeman.

Brenda attended Wellsville Schools and was a loving homemaker, wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed spending her time doing arts, crafts and painting. Brenda was always available for a cup of coffee and a warm conversation. She was very charitable with the organizations of Feed the Children and the Appalachian Children's Fund and could always be counted on to give to someone in need.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Joseph Galvin, Jr., whom she married September 27, 1976; one daughter: Michelle Depelteau and her husband Paul of Springfield, MA; one son: Robert "BJ" Freeman of Mullica Hill; one brother: Robert Freeman and his wife Kim of Wellsville; two stepchildren: Kelly Vitalo and Patrick Galvin; eight grandchildren; and a dear niece, Jodie Freeman, of Boardman, OH.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 24th, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Wellsville.

Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Sunday, June 23rd, at the funeral home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
