Bruce Calvin Wicker

WELLSVILLE - Bruce Calvin Wicker, 72, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020, at The Orchards at Foxcrest in Chester, WV.

He was born August 17, 1947, in Lackey, Kentucky, the son of the late Carl and Pauline (Slone) Wicker. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Wicker.

Bruce graduated from Wellsville High School in 1965, and he served his country in the United States Army. He had been employed for the former Crucible Steel Mill and Beaver Valley Power Station. Bruce was a member of the Wellsville VFW Post 5647 and the Wellsville Eagles Aerie 772. He attended the Living Well Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Ranee McDowell and her husband, Joe, of Saint Leonard, MD; one son, Marc Wicker and his wife, Kristen, of Venetia, PA; and two sisters: Linda Monte of Wellsville and Veronda Russell of Virginia Beach, VA. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Lucy, Declan, and Theo Wicker, and Aidan and Logan McDowell.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the church officiating.

Burial will be in Hammondsville Cemetery.
