HAMMONDSVILLE - Calvin W. Householder, 83, of Hammondsville, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at his home.

He was born February 26, 1941, in Hammondsville, the son of the late Wayne and Alice (Grafton) Householder. In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by two sisters: Shirley Rhodes and Juanita Householder; and one brother, James Householder.

Calvin graduated from Stanton Local High School in 1961, and he proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. He was employed at Weirton Steel until his retirement and also was a lifetime farmer. Calvin was a former Brush Creek Township trustee, a former board member of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau and the Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation, and Jefferson Landmark. He was also a former member of the Chestnut Grove Cemetery Association, and he was a 50 year member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio Jenkins Lodge #471.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (Lafferty) Householder, whom he married September 11, 1966; and four sons: Wesley Householder, Tom (Janet) Householder, Mark (Kris) Householder, and John (Makenzie) Householder. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Caitlyn (Brian) Potkrajac, Shawn and Leanna Householder, Haley, Shelby, and Sydney Householder, Alexandria and Travis Householder, and Ty and Nina Householder; and one great-grandchild, Wyatt Potkrajac.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Crowe officiating.

Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 5:00-8:00 pm on Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
