Carl L. "Bud" Anderson

EAST LIVERPOOL - Carl L. "Bud" Anderson, 81, of East Liverpool, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Lifeline Hospital in Wintersville.

He was born February 15, 1934, in East Liverpool, the son of the late George and Naomi (Claypool) Anderson. He was preceded in death on December 13, 2013, by his wife, Martha Anderson, whom he married April 24, 1958, and by his brother, Jimmy Anderson.

Bud graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was employed for thirty years as a pitman for the former Crucible Steel Mill and J&L Steel, before retiring in 2002. He was a member of United Steelworkers Unions #1212 and #1211.

Survivors include three sisters: Edna Harzen, Ruth Heiney, and Georgeina Emler, all of East Liverpool; and one brother: Larry (Cindy) Tice of East Liverpool. Although he had no children of his own, Bud and his wife, Martha, helped raise several nieces and nephews and their children.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the Roberts Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
