CARROLLTON - Carla Jean Buchanan, 92, of Carrollton, formerly of Salineville, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Schoenbrunn Healthcare in New Philadelphia.

She was born December 18, 1932, in Cadiz, the daughter of the late John and Georgia (Hoagland) Cassidy. In addition to her parents, Carla was preceded in death on May 31, 2010, by her husband, Charles Buchanan, whom she married December 9, 1955. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Gail and Brenda Buchanan; her brothers: Dean, Bill, and John Cassidy; and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Buchanan.

Carla was previously employed at Acme Pottery, Superfoods, and McAllisters. She was a member of the Church of God in East Liverpool.

Survivors include her son, Charles "Greg" Buchanan of Carrollton, and her grandson, Kenneth Crooms of Lisbon.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.

Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carla's name to a charity of your choice.
