WELLSVILLE - Catheryn B. Henderson, 86, of Wellsville, died Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Lifeline Hospital in Wintersville.

She was born January 11, 1924, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late John and Olive (Baylor) Blewett.

Catheryn graduated from Wellsville High School in 1942. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and completed her post-graduate work at Ohio University and the University of Wisconsin. She was a teacher in the Wellsville School District for 28 years, before retiring in 1988. Catheryn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wellsville and the Wellsville Alumni Association. She was also a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association.

She was preceded in death in 1970 by her husband, Houston H. "Speed" Henderson.

Survivors include two sons: John "JB" Henderson and his wife Darla of Wellsville, and Jeff "Skitch" Henderson and his fiance Lynn McDevitt of Wellsville.

In addition to her husband and parents, Catheryn was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Henderson in 2004; and two sisters: Phyllis Ross and Nancy Platt.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 20, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Maylone of the church officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
