Charles Edward Crews (April 19, 1955– February 15, 2024)

Died courageously on February 15th, fighting a lengthy illness.

To his family, Chuck will always be remembered as a loving husband, a wonderful father, a

good brother, a fantastic uncle and an upstanding friend. He will be greatly missed and our

memory will always be of a dependable, honest and funny man; just the sort of person you knew

you could rely on if you ever needed to. This is his legacy; it is how we shall all remember

Chuck in the years to come. He'd been so ill for so long it's hard to remember a time when he

wasn't, but we mustn't forget what a great guy Chuck was. To his extended family, "Chuckles"

was the best of the best. He was always up for an impromptu family outing, a cruise on the river

and always a cookout. His illness may have taken him from us, but it will never rob us of his

memory.

Chuck was a graduate of Southern Local High School, Class of 1973. He had several jobs

during his lifetime. He was a machinist at Crucible Steel, a man of all trades for his family

business, Crews Home Improvements, and worked in Quality Control at Timet Corporation.

Chuck leaves behind his grieving family and friends and was preceded in death by his Mother

Bertha Crews, Sister Amy Brown, Sister-In-Law Kathie Crews, Mother-In Law Mary Campbell,

Father-In-Law, Charles Campbell, Brothers In-Law Charles, Gary, and Steve Campbell and Roy

"Eugene" Sprouse. He is survived by His Wife and loving partner of 46 years, Karen Crews, his

daughter Kristie Crews and husband Troy Swafford, His Son Andrew Crews and partner

Samsara Yang. He also leaves behind His Father, James Crews, Brothers James Crews, Michael

(Shawna) Crews, Sister Brenda (Paul) Kish, His Brothers-In Law, James Brown and James

Campbell, and His Sisters-In-Law Sharon Campbell, Cheryl (Ken) Bissell, Judy Freeman, and

Patricia Sprouse. In addition to those loved ones he also leaves behind many nieces, nephews

and his beloved fur babies, Sadie and Sweet Pea.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Hospice (Akeso Health Care) and Calcutta

Health Care for all their care and assistance.

The family will hold a memorial celebration of Chuck's life at Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville,

from 4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
