Charles Albert Wright

EAST LIVERPOOL - Charles Albert Wright, 87, of East Liverpool, formerly of Wellsville, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at home following a lengthy illness.

He was born March 22, 1927, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Charles and Edith (Calvert) Wright.

Charles served in the U. S. Army as a military policeman during World War II. He worked in the maintenance department for the village of Wellsville and at the Odd Fellows Apartment building in East Liverpool before retiring.

Survivors include two daughters: Jody Wright-Kirela of East Liverpool, and Julia Smith of Newton Falls; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death in 1988 by his wife, Arleen (Jenkins) Wright, whom he married on April 16, 1966, and by his grandson, Jeremy Daugherty.

A graveside service will be observed at Spring Hill Cemetery at a later date.

The Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville has been entrusted with his arrangements.
