Cheryl Renee Riffle

WELLSVILLE - Cheryl Renee Riffle, 53, of Wellsville, died Thursday, December 25, 2014, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born May 28, 1961, in Glendale, CA, the daughter of the late Patricia Smallwood and Herman and Audrey Tranter of Steubenville.

Cheryl Renee attended Wellsville High School. She was a member of Faith Chapel in Steubenville and attended Word of Life Church in Wellsville. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

In addition to her father and step-mother, survivors include her husband, Charles H. Riffle, whom she married May 5, 1978; one daughter: Ashley Simmons of Wintersville; one son: Christopher Riffle at home; three sisters: Claudia Arnette of Richland, PA, Colleen Havelock of East Liverpool, Charlotte Bowers of Wintersville; one brother: Claude Tranter of Fuquay-Varina, NC; one step-sister: Beverly Wineman of Steubenville; and three step-brothers: Eartie Flener of Wintersville, Eartist Flener of Steubenville, and Roger Flener of Cincinnati. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Gage, Maddox, & Lindley Simmons of Wintersville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 6:00 pm at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Bud Stull officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-6:00 pm on Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Roberts Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
