Clarence P. Baker

WELLSVILLE - Clarence P. Baker, 79, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

He was born January 17, 1939, in Hammondsville, the son of the late Clarence A. and Evelyn M. (Leasure) Baker. In addition to his parents, Clarence was also preceded in death by one son, Christopher Baker; two sisters: Betty Russell and Hilda Baker; and one brother, John Baker.

Clarence graduated from Wellsville High School in 1957. He had been employed as a heater helper in the blooming mill for the former Crucible Steel Mill before retiring in 1982. Clarence was also a member of the Highlandtown Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Paar) Baker, whom he married January 21, 1961; one daughter, Kelly Baker of Salineville; one son, James Baker and his wife, Denise, of Salineville; two sisters: Barbara Mills of Carrollton and Bonnie Wilson of Salineville; and two brothers: Thomas Baker and Dale Baker of Wellsville. Also surviving are two grandchildren.

According to Clarence's wishes, no services will be held.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with his arrangements.
