IRONDALE - Dale Allen Tice, Sr., 88, of Irondale, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 4, 1936, in Irondale, the son of the late Clarence and Sadie (Householder) Tice. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Florence Elliott, and two brothers: Oliver and Stanley Tice.

Dale graduated from Irondale High School and proudly served in the United States Army for two years during which he was stationed in Germany.  While serving in Germany, he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. He completed his service to his country after four active years in the Army Reserves.  Dale was previously employed as a driver salesman for the former Golden Star Dairy in East Liverpool and then Superior Dairy in Canton. He was an active member of the Irondale community, having been a member of the former senior citizens group and the beautification committee. Dale had also served as a volunteer fireman beginning at the age of sixteen and served for several years as the assistant fire chief. He was an avid player of Dominoes with his friends, loved watching the birds and deer, working in the yard, and putting up Christmas decorations. He was a member of the Irondale Christ Community Church (formerly the Irondale United Methodist Church).

Survivors include his wife, Linda Jean (Culp) Tice, whom he married November 8, 1963; three children: Todd Tice of Kearney, MO, Sandra Tice Watson of Irvington, AL and Dale Allen (Kelly) Tice, Jr. of Amsterdam, OH; two grandsons: Jacob (Ailee) Tice of Lathrop, MO and Dustin McKee of Bullhead City, AZ; as well as three great-grandchildren: Hudson, Hannah, and Bennett Tice, all of Lathrop, MO. Also surviving is his nephew, Jeffery (Carol) Tice of Carrollton, OH, and his beloved and devoted canine companion, Toffy.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Irondale Christ Community Church, 75 Grant Street, with Pastor Dan Crowe of the church officiating. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service at the church.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Dale's arrangements.
