Dallas J. Groves

WELLSVILLE - Dallas J. Groves, 84, of Wellsville, died Monday, January 26, 2015, at Lifeline Hospital in Wintersville.

He was born March 12, 1930, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Troxel and Helen (Messenger) Groves.

He was preceded in death on September 28, 2004, by his wife, June (Stutchell) Groves, whom he married November 9, 1948.

Dallas was employed for twenty-five years as a mechanic for O.S. Hill International before retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Wellsville VFW Post 5647, as well as the Living Well Church.

Survivors include one daughter: Dianna White of Winder, GA; and one son: Ron Groves and his wife, Nancy, of Pendergrass, GA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dallas was preceded in death by his son: Donald Groves; and four brothers: Troxel Groves, Jr., Daniel Groves, Dayton Groves, and David Groves.

The funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the church officiating.

Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
