Darrel Lee Utt

SALINEVILLE - Darrel Lee Utt, 70, of Salineville, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born September 17, 1945, in Liverpool, WV, the son of the late Lee Adair and Betty J. (Danser) Utt.

Darrel graduated from Stanton High School in 1963. He had been employed as a carpenter for Carpenters Local 171 in Youngstown. He also owned and operated his own custom carpentry workshop, had worked for Diloretto Construction, and retired from Sky Bank in 2005. Darrel was active in the Masons, having been a member of the Jenkins Lodge Free and Accepted Masons in Irondale, Royal Arch Masons in Toronto, Grand Council Royal Select Masons of Ohio, and Knights Templar in Steubenville. He attended Calvary Presbyterian Church in Salineville.

Survivors include his wife, Terri L. (Whitaker) Utt, whom he married April 24, 1965; three sons: Karl Utt and his wife, Connie, of Wellsville, James Utt and his wife, Tina, of Waynesville, MO, and Doug Utt and his wife, Regina, of Highlandtown; three sisters: Joyce Harris and her husband, Phillip, of Panama City, FL, Barbara Bennett and her husband, Cline, of Jacksonville, FL, and Donna Rudder and her husband, Bill, of Irondale; and one brother: Michael Utt of Highlandtown. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Taylor, Seth, Natalie, Tanner, and Nick Utt.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 6, 2016, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Lay Minister Fred May of Salineville Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will follow in Highlandtown Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1:00-3:00 pm and 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
