NEW MIDDLETOWN - David Edward Bayer, Sr., 82, of New Middletown, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.

He was born September 3, 1941, in East Liverpool, the son of the late James A. and Dora M. (Talbott) Bayer. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death in 1984 by his wife, Nina E. (Higgins) Bayer. He was also preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters: James, Phillip, Charles, and Richard Bayer, Phyllis Gouldsberry, Betty Chrislip, and Delores "Dee" Williams.

Dave was previously employed as a rigger at Quaker State and had owned and operated the former Hillcrest Florist in Wellsville.

Survivors include two children: David E. Bayer, Jr. of New Middletown and Kristie (Graig) Bartlett of Marysville, OH; and three grandchildren: Courtney Nina Bartlett and Graig and Brenden Bartlett.
