David C. Buchner

LISBON - David C. Buchner, 70, of Lisbon, died Sunday, April 21, 2013, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born June 21, 1942, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Carl and Elwanda (Huff) Buchner.

David graduated from Wellsville High School in 1960. He served in the United States Army from 1960-1963 in the 101st Airborne Division. He was employed for twenty-five years as a store room supervisor for Ohio Edison, before retiring in 1998.

Survivors include his wife, Betty (Turick) Buchner, whom he married December 4, 1993; two daughters: Marianna Wright and her husband Dan of Wheeling, WV, and Pamela Hoeffel and her husband Ed of Toledo; one son: David Buchner of Wellsville; one sister: Sarah Lynn Broughton and her husband James of Wellsville; three step-daughters: Reta Hurt of Perrysburg, OH, Kemberly Abbott of Delta, OH, and Dina Barnes of Temperance, MI; and one step-son: Guy Hostutler of Lisbon. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by one brother: Thomas Buchner.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

The Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.
