David W. Rogers

WELLSVILLE - David W. Rogers, 55, of Wellsville, formerly of Salineville, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at East Liverpool City Hospital and went home to be with the Lord.

He was born May 25, 1966, in Salem, the son of the late David E. and Alice A. (Webber) Rogers. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha Gallager, David Rogers, and Agnes Brown Rogers, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Having lived in the area for several years, Dave had been employed as a crane operator for Eljer's and then he had worked for different tree service companies until his disability prevented him from working any longer. Dave loved his family and friends, and he was always there to lend a helping hand. He took pleasure in fishing and spending time with his grandkids, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Dave will also be remembered for his love of the Miami Dolphins football team. He attended the Salineville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-six years, Paula (Leatherberry) Rogers, whom he married in June 1986; one son, D. Isaac Rogers of Salineville; and three precious grandbabies: Kalvin, Jaden, and Ivy. Also surviving are five brothers and sisters: Alice A. Rogers, Eugene J. (Sheila) Rogers, Martha M. (Shane) Frazier, Buddy L. Rogers, and Scott (Tracy) Rogers; one uncle, Tom (Nancy) Rogers; and several nieces and nephews and their children.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Linda Baker of the church officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Saturday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
