Dawn Willet Thompson Howard, 64, of East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away on August 8, 2026. She was born October 5, 1961, a daughter of the late Frank D. Thompson, Jr. and Beverly J. Thompson.

Dawn graduated from Wellsville High School in 1980 and went on to attend Jeff Tech, where she studied business. She began her career at East Liverpool City Hospital and later spent over 25 years with Heritage Thermal Services, retiring from the company in 2021.

Dawn had a true passion for bingo, often traveling with her "bingo buddies" across the Tri-State area to play any day of the week. Above all, she loved cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and treasuring moments with her great-grandson.

Dawn is survived by her mother, Beverly Thompson; her children, Christina Kirkland (Michael Thomas), Shante Thompson (Jason Chapman), Paul Howard III, and Tia Howard. She is also survived by her beloved niece, Davina Thompson (David Santiago), whom she loved as a daughter. Her memory will live on through her grandchildren: Josiah Santiago, Ja'Von Santiago, Ja'lae Clay, Tiara Welch, Lyric Santiago, and Cashus Clay; and her great-grandchildren: Jhaki and Ayla Santiago.

Dawn will be missed by her sister, Vida Thompson (Perry Fluker); and special friends Kim Hazel, Marlene Dunn, and her husband Herbert. Also remembering her with affection is her former husband and lifelong friend, Paul Howard Jr.

Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Frank David Thompson Jr., her maternal and paternal grandparents, son-in-law: Timothy Kirkland, and her God daughter: Malia Dawmonique Dunn.

A memorial service to celebrate Dawn's life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the First Baptist Church, 1401 Center Street, Wellsville, OH  43968, with Minister Daniel Winston officiating and Eulogist Pastor Vincent D. Moye.

Family and friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at the church.

Dinner will be served immediately following the service.
