Donald Howard Gates, Jr.

WELLSVILLE - Donald Howard Gates, Jr., 70, of Shoub Towers, Wellsville, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Allegheny General Hospital, after a brief illness.

He was born April 18, 1943, in Wellsville, a son of the late Donald H. and Mary (Valentine) Gates.

Donald was a 1961 graduate of Wellsville High School and worked as a carpenter in construction. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include one daughter: Michelle Gates of Midland, PA; one son: Donald H. Gates II of Winchester, VA.; and one sister: Margaret Russell of Wellsville, OH.

There will be no visitation or services. The Roberts Funeral Home was entrusted to handle the arrangements.
