Earl L. "Pooch" Pander

EAST LIVERPOOL - Earl L. "Pooch" Pander, 75, of East Liverpool, went home to be with his Lord Jesus on Sunday, April 1, 2012, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born July 15, 1936, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Charles and Jennie (Mooney) Pander.

Earl served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a motor inspector for the former Crucible Steel Company for 24 years before retiring in 1982. Earl was a member of the Canton (OH) American Legion and the Wellsville Masonic Temple. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and outdoorsman. Earl treasured time spent with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn F. (Roseberry) Pander, whom he married April 30, 1963; one daughter: Marcie Hamilton and her companion Gary Crabtree of Wellsville; one son: Earl Wayne Pander and his wife Lesley of East Liverpool; one sister: June Wolfe of East Liverpool; three granddaughters: Shayna, Skyler, and Sydni Hamilton of Wellsville; and two step-grandchildren, Jordan Stinson and Kyle Stinson of East Liverpool. He was a very beloved husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Keenan.

A private funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville with Rev. Norman Eckert officiating. The Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
