Edith Inez Smith

PHOENIX - Edith Inez Smith, 90, of Phoenix, AZ., passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Hospice Green House.

She was born March 16, 1923, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late David and Mabel (Harsha) Wucherer.

Edith graduated from Wellsville High School in 1941. She was employed for thirty-five years in the decal department for Sterling China, before retiring in 1986.

Survivors include one daughter: Jean Serago and her husband Terry of Phoenix, AZ.; and one son: William Smith and his wife Cindy of Wellsville. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Rob Cathell of Wellsville, Alison Dobbs of East Liverpool, Katie (Jason) Fadler of Phoenix, Elizabeth Reed of Wellsville, and Leslee (Joe) Camerlin of Wellsville, as well as fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by three sisters: Eloise Spriggs, Emily Lawrence, and Dorothy Baughman; and one brother: William Wucherer.

There will be no services per Edith's request.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Edith's name to Pillars Hospice Care Foundation 3038 E. Cactus Road, Phoenix, AZ 85032.
