Elaine W. Jarvis

WELLSVILLE - Elaine W. Jarvis, 85, of Wellsville, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Calcutta Health Care Center due to complications from the COVID-19 virus.

She was born December 5, 1935, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Meixelberger) Hammond. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by two sisters: Evelyn King and Hazel Foster; one brother, Howard Hammond; and one granddaughter, Sarah Ann Schafer.

Elaine graduated from Wellsville High School in 1953. She was employed as a secretary for A.S. Fricano. Elaine was a member of Highlandtown United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Schafer of Salineville; and her grandson, Joe (Darla) Schafer of Austintown.

According to Elaine's wishes, no services will be held.

Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Elaine's arrangements.
