Elizabeth "Arlene" Chettle

Wellsville - Elizabeth "Arlene" Chettle, 84, of Wellsville, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at her home.

Arlene was born September 26, 1934, in Clarence, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Hunter) McCloskey. She was preceded in death on July 26, 2001, by her husband, John, whom she married on April 5, 1952. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas and Robert McCloskey; and two sisters: Mary Ann Madison and Janice Reeder.

Arlene attended Salineville School and spent her life farming on the family land with her husband.

Arlene leaves behind her daughter, Jo Ann Chettle, who survives at home; and her son, Fred Chettle and his wife, Darlena, of Wellsville. She is also survived by one sister, Bonnie Carpenter of Arizona.

According to Arlene's wishes no services will be held.

Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Arlene's arrangements.
