WELLSVILLE - Elizabeth E. "Betty" Moore, 87, of Wellsville, died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

She was born September 11, 1927, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Viral N. and Geneva (Richardson) Parsons, Sr.

Betty graduated from Wellsville High School in 1945 and from Ohio Valley Business College in 1947. She was a lifelong member of the Wellsville Church of the Nazarene/Living Well Church where she was on the church board, Sunday School board, Nazarene Youth Instructor, Sunday School Teacher, and Missionary Society Treasurer. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Betty was preceded in death on April 23, 1996, by her husband, Kenneth W. Moore, Sr., whom she married May 3, 1946. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Corbin, on October 24, 1997, as well as her brother, Viral "Bud" Parsons, Jr.

Survivors include two daughters: Darlene Orr of East Liverpool and Lori Hagerud of Conway, SC; one son: Kenneth W. Moore, Jr. of Wellsville; one sister: Loretta Woods of East Liverpool; and 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 13, 2014, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the church officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
