Emma J. Jackson

WELLSVILLE - Emma J. Jackson, 78, of Wellsville, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born November 21, 1940, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late George Matthew "Matt" and Elsie (Farnsworth) Thompson. In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death on August 23, 2004, by her husband, Ferry F. Jackson, whom she married May 14, 1960. She was also preceded in death by her son, Chuck Jackson.

Emma was employed as a caregiver at Nentwicks Convalescent Home and East Liverpool City Hospital. She had also been a bus driver for the Wellsville Local School District.

Survivors include two daughters: Pam Iams of Wellsville, and Faith Ann Jimenez and her husband, Jesse, of Bakersfield, CA; and three sons: Frank Jackson of Wellsville, Mark Jackson of Canton, and Matt Jackson of Odessa, TX. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastors Larry and Pat Wolfe of Elevate officiating.

Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
