Eva V. Board

WELLSVILLE - Eva V. Board, 92, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

She was born June 7, 1929, in Palestine, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Alvie Ernest and Mary E. (Ball) McClung. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death on February 24, 1997, by her husband, Leroy B. Board, whom she married January 17, 1948. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Ruddlesen; and five brothers: Glen, Doris, Lloyd, Carl, and Basil McClung.

Eva had been previously employed for twenty-six years as a cosmetics clerk at Thrift Drug Store in Calcutta. She was the president of the Senior Citizens of Campground Road Club, and she was a member of The Heights Church (United Brethren Church). Eva enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished the memories she made with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters: Carol Givens of East Liverpool and Mary (Carl) St. Clair of New Cumberland, WV; two sons: Donald (Ann) Board of Wellsville and Michael Board of Calcutta; three sisters: Anetta Saling of East Liverpool, Allie Modesitt of Parkersburg, WV, and Betty Cain of Parkersburg, WV; and one sister-in-law, Bonnie McClung of Parkersburg, WV. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren: Wendy Cook, Lisa Hruska, April Willis, Melanie Green, Amiee Board, Angie Carver, Suzie Mint, Michael Board, Don Board, Daniel Board, Chad Board, Adam Board, and Jared Board, as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, January 24, 2022, at the The Heights Church, 528 Grandview Street in East Liverpool, with Pastor Joe Cilone of the church officiating.

Burial will follow in Hammondsville Cemetery.

Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Eva's arrangements.
