Evelyn M. Buren

WELLSVILLE - Evelyn M. Buren, 74, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville.

She was born April 1, 1945, in Grafton, WV, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Clarissa (Kirby) Shingleton. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her sisters: LaDonna Wilson, Velma Goodwin, Eileen Myers, Wilma Shingleton, and Mildred Salsberry; and her brother, Leroy "Buck" Shingleton.

Evelyn graduated from Wellsville High School in 1964. She was employed for twenty-nine years as a custodian for the East Liverpool School District before retiring in 2004. Evelyn enjoyed making crafts for her family in her woodshop. She was a member of the Campground Community Church.

Survivors include her husband, Michael E. Buren, whom she married February 24, 1967; two sisters: Wanda Stewart of Amsterdam, OH and Katherine Morris of Grafton, WV; and one sister-in-law, Marilyn Shingleton of Wellsville. Evelyn is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at the Campground Community Church, 1795 Annesley Road in East Liverpool, with Rev. Tom Adkins of the church officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
