Evelyn R. McIntosh

SALINEVILLE - Evelyn Rose (FitzGerald) McIntosh, 87, of Salineville, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Blossom Nursing Home in Salem, Ohio.

She was born June 10, 1925, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (Baker) FitzGerald.

Evelyn was a 1943 graduate of Wellsville High School. She was employed at H.K. Porter/Swank Refractories, Sears, Southern Local High School, and last but not least, as a partner with her husband in Shadylawn Farm.

She was a member of Bethel United Presbyterian Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, and choir member. Evelyn was also an avid collector of nativities and had over 200 in her collection. She enjoyed sewing, collecting milk bottles, and was a ham radio operator.

Survivors include her daughter: Joyce Bhe of Beloit; her two sons: Scott (Susan Shank) McIntosh of Salineville and Frank (Dottie Cutlip)McIntosh of Guilford Lake; her sister: Carrie Ann McMahon and her husband Jack of Wellsville; and her son-in-law: Greg Koontz of Columbiana. Also surviving are six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death on February 9, 1989, by her husband, Frank L. McIntosh, whom she married May 22, 1946; her daughter: Christine; her granddaughter: Amanda; two sisters: Maude and Ilene; one brother: Jimmy; and her daughter-in-law: Linda.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Bethel United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ted Ludwig officiating.

Burial will follow in Bethel United Presbyterian Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, April 19, 2013, at Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
