Fannie A. Jarvis

WELLSVILLE - Fannie A. Jarvis, 92, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

She was born July 18, 1927, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Luigi and Josephine (Sepe) Volino. In addition to her parents, Fannie was preceded in death on March 8, 2004, by her husband, Ernest Jarvis, whom she married August 25, 1964. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Rosa Maggio and Anna Volino; and five brothers: Rocco, Mike, Samuel, Emanuel, and Ralph Volino.

Fannie graduated from Wellsville High School in 1945. She was employed for twenty years as a clerk for Metropolitan Transit Authority in Los Angeles, CA before her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville.

Fannie was a kind and generous person with a big heart. She will be sadly missed by her family near and far.

Survivors include four step-children: Beverly (Lyle) Riggers of Oregon, and Jacqueline Brewton, Ron (Cynthia) Jarvis, and Larry (Karen) Jarvis, all of California; and ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Fannie is also survived by two brothers: Dominic Volino and Jim (Esther) Volino, both of Wellsville; and many nieces and nephews.

The Catholic Burial Rite will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 29, 2019, in the Chapel at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville with Rev. Scott Kopp of Holy Trinity Parish officiating.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Fannie's arrangements.
