CALCUTTA - Frances Marie "Fran" Munoz, 65, of Calcutta, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy illness.

She was born March 9, 1959, in Salem, the daughter of the late Frank "Bud" DeSenze and Katherine "Kay" (Arcuragi) DeSenze.

Fran graduated from Wellsville High School in 1977. She loved to travel, especially to Disney World and the beach. She also enjoyed watching reruns of the Golden Girls and Mama's Family. Above all else, Fran loved her grandchildren and attending their many different activities. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and the Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Nick Munoz, whom she married April 15, 1978; three children: Nicole (Ryan) Smith of Calcutta, Nick (Katie) Munoz of Newton, AL, and Jessica (Andrew) Kuhar of Calcutta; and one brother, Peter (Claudia) DeSenze of Calcutta. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren: Brady and Emma Smith, Payton, Logan, Tyler, and Jacob Munoz, and Elizabeth Donaldson.

The Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Sacred Heart Church, 418 4th Street in Chester, WV, with Fr. Bill Matheny of the church officiating.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday and from 8:30 - 9:15 am on Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
