Frank A. Verzella

WELLSVILLE - Frank A. Verzella, 82, of Wellsville, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at The Vista Center in Lisbon.

He was born October 4, 1931, in Midland, PA, the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Donatella) Verzella.

Frank graduated from Midland High School in 1950. He served in the United States Army. He was employed as a carpenter for the former Crucible Steel Mill and Ohio Carpenters and Millwrights Local 1871 in Youngstown. Frank was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include his wife, Donna (Wurzel) Verzella, whom he married February 11, 1956; two sons: David Verzella and his wife, Barbara, of Columbus, and Douglas A. Verzella and his companion, Nikki D'Atri, and her daughter, Amanda, of Wellsville; and one sister: Caroline Rizzilli of Wampum, PA. Also surviving are two granddaughters: Alexandra Verzella and Spencer Verzella, as well as a loving extended family including Judy Vadjinia and her children, Angela Barker and Toni Sams.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Verzella.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, October 4, 2014, at the Sacred Heart Church, 424 4th Street in Chester, WV, with Rev. Eric Antwai officiating.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
