Gene K. Beadnell

WELLSVILLE - Gene K. Beadnell, 58, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville following a lengthy illness.

He was born December 2, 1959, in Oak Park, IL, the son of the late Harry and Ruth (Johnson) Beadnell.

Gene graduated from Wellsville High School in 1978 and was a proud Eagle Scout of Troop 19. He and his wife, Mary Jane, owned and operated the former H&R Bar in Wellsville for ten years. He was also employed for five years as a route driver delivering magazines for La Belle News before retiring in 2007. Gene was the former clerk treasurer for Wellsville and had served on city council and the zoning commission.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane (Fusco) Beadnell, whom he married October 17, 1987; and two brothers: Wayne Beadnell and his wife, Debbie, of Medina, OH, and Doug Beadnell of Solon, OH.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, January 19, 2018, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 pm Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville
