Genevive Heaton

Wellsville – Genevive Heaton, 93, of Wellsville, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

She was born July 8, 1926 in New Cumberland, WV, the daughter of the late Stanley and Sophie Zubrycki. In addition to her parents, Gen was preceded in death by her husband, James Heaton, Jr., whom she married July 28, 1947, her daughter, Nancy Thirtyacre, sister, Florence Oliver, and a brother, Vince Zubrycki.

Genevive graduated from New Cumberland (WV) High School in 1943 and attained an Associate Degree in accounting. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Heaton's Tire Shop in Wellsville.

Gen is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Kenneth) Burlingame of Lakeland, FL, Janie (John) McClelland of Wellsville; sister, Edith Kaczynski of Weirton, WV; granddaughter, Karrie Chaney; grandsons, Jim Thirtyacre, John McClelland, Jr., and Brian McClelland; great-grandsons, Justin Thirtyacre and Joey Niswonger.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
