Gloria D. Pullie

WELLSVILLE - Gloria D. Pullie, 78, of Wellsville, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville.

She was born December 25, 1936, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late William Profit and Esther (Clark) Profit Davis. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Samuel H. Profit and William I. Profit.

Gloria graduated from Steubenville High School in 1955. She was employed for twenty-eight years as a teacher for Columbiana County Head Start before retiring in 2002. She was Baptist and attended Mount Sinai FBH Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Pullie, Sr., whom she married December 8, 1956; two daughters: Tina Smith and her husband, Jamey, of Wellsville, and Tracy Pullie of Columbus; one son: Robert Pullie, Jr. of Columbus; and five sisters: Willie Belle Yates, Juanita Swearingen, Mary (John) Barnes, Mary Jane Brown, and Eleanor Profit. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Tinisha (Solomon) Sheridan, Ashton Pullie, Dorian Pullie, Tyler Pullie, and Adam (Vanessa) Pullie; and two great-grandchildren: Nielle and Solomon, Jr. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, family, and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, January 19, 2015, at the First Baptist Church, 1401 Center Street in Wellsville, with Pastor Darlene Zanders of Mount Sinai FBH Church officiating.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
