Harold G. Moore

EAST LIVERPOOL - Harold G. Moore, 91, of East Liverpool, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at his home.

He was born August 29, 1922, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Thomas Linn and Inez (Cunningham) Moore.

He was preceded in death on December 23, 2009, by his wife, Geraldine L. "Gerry" (Wynn) Moore, whom he married May 5, 1944.

Harold graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1941. He was employed for thirty-nine years in electronics for the former Crucible Steel Mill before retiring in 1982. He was the founder of the East Liverpool Yacht Club, was a member of the Masons, and was active in the Triangle Area Senior Citizens. Harold was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sons: Jeffrey G. Moore and his wife, Roxann, of Calcutta, and Richard L. Moore and his wife, Cheryl, of East Liverpool; five grandchildren: Stephanie Linn Moore, Stephen J. Moore, and Taylor E. Moore, all of Calcutta, Kevin Moore and his wife, Kristi, of Powell, OH, and Nicole Six of Chester, WV; and three great-grandchildren: Hannah Moore, and Hayden and Kendall Six.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Tanta Luckhart-Hendricks of the church officiating.

Burial will follow in Calcutta United Presbyterian Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm today at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
