WELLSVILLE - Harry Edwin "Pete" Montgomery, 80, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital in Wexford, PA.

He was born August 18, 1943, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Charles F. "Brud" and Lucy (Highman) Montgomery. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death on May 27, 2016, by his wife, Lynn (Yim) Montgomery, whom he married November 27, 1974.

Pete graduated from Wellsville High School in 1961. He served as a specialist in the United States Army from June 8, 1962 until his retirement on June 30, 1983. He was a member of the Wellsville First Christian Church.

Survivors include two sisters: Elaine (Jim) Powell of Salem and Kay Montgomery (Melissa Miller) of Wellsville.

According to Pete's wishes, no services will be held. He will be interred with his wife at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with his arrangements.
