Helen Mae McIntosh

WELLSVILLE - Helen Mae McIntosh, 92, of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Calcutta Health Care Center.

She was born November 4, 1926, in Summitville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ruth Eva (Grindle) and Emmett L. Pelley, Sr. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death on February 25, 2008, by her husband, Gail McIntosh, whom she married August 31, 1946. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Donna Mercer; and her brother, Robert Pelley.

Helen graduated from Wellsville High School in 1945. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church where she was active in many of the women's organizations. She also enjoyed bowling in her bowling league.

Survivors include three sons: John McIntosh and his wife, Rebecca, of Claremont, NC, Marvin McIntosh and his wife, Grace, of Toronto, and Bruce McIntosh and his wife, Denise, of Salineville; three sisters: Rose Mary (Albert) Larbig of Mentor, OH, Joann (Michael) Turick of Toronto, and Colleen (Duane) Rosenlieb of Wellsville; and two brothers: Emmett L. "Pete" Pelley, Jr. of Wellsville and Charles H. (Dorothy) Pelley of Wellsville. Also surviving are six grandchildren: John McIntosh, Leslie Walker, Kelly Francy, Sarah Buza, Kristen McIntosh, and Tyler McIntosh; four great-grandchildren: John Graham McIntosh, Jack McIntosh, Gabrielle Walker, and Evan Buza; and two very special friends: Angela Reed and Judy Miller.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Alcinda James, elder at Oak Ridge Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
