Helen C. Pugliano

WELLSVILLE - Helen C. Pugliano, 90, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

She was born September 28, 1927, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Capparotto) Roberts. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death on February 12, 1992, by her husband, Pete S. Pugliano, whom she married July 3, 1948. She was also preceded in death by two sons: John and Tom Pugliano; two sisters: Mary DeSarro and Sadie Surace; three brothers: James, Louis, and Mike Roberts; and two great-granddaughters: Maiya and Emma Lewis.

Helen graduated from Wellsville High School in 1946. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. Helen was an avid bowler and golfer, enjoyed being a member of Golden Links, and served as a board member at Shoub Tower. She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church.

Survivors include two sons: Anthony Pugliano and his wife, Lisa, of Wellsville and Rocky Pugliano and his fiancée, Dawn, of Wellsville; and one brother, Frank Roberts of Wellsville. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Rev. Bernard Gaeta presiding.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
