Hilda R. McBee

WELLSVILLE - Hilda R. McBee, 76, of Wellsville, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at the Vista Center in Lisbon, following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 31, 1936, in Belington, WV, the daughter of the late Steven and Pauline (Sheets) Cross.

Hilda worked for several local potteries, but was best known as a barmaid for VFW Post 5647, before retiring in 2006 after 24 years of service. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Dale McBee, whom she married December 24, 1964; one daughter: Debra Booth Darrah of Wellsville; two step-daughters: Dianna McBee and Darlene Wallach, both of Cleveland; one granddaughter: Tonya Booth Wilson of Wellsville; one grandson: Steve Darrah of Wellsville; three step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Bennett.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
