WELLSVILLE - Jack Raymond Betteridge, 82, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born July 14, 1943, in Wellsville, the son of the late Beulah (Bowers) and William R. Betteridge, Sr. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. William Betteridge, and sister, Louann Jobe.

Jack graduated from Wellsville High School in 1961, and he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was previously employed in maintenance of way for Norfolk Southern Railroad before retiring in 2007. Jack was an avid bowler at Tri-State Lanes and was a big supporter of the Wellsville High School Bowling Team, of which some of his grandchildren are members. Jack was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Johnson) Betteridge, whom he married October 21, 1966; three children: Kirk Betteridge of Wellsville, Todd (Corinne) Betteridge of Hubert, NC, and Dianna (Shannon) Landess of Wellsville. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom Jack adored.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Dyer of the church officiating. The Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will accord full military honors at 6:00 pm.

Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Thursday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Jack's name to the Wellsville High School Bowling Boosters by sending a check made out to Wellsville Local Schools with Wellsville Bowling in the memo line to 472 14th St., Wellsville, OH  43968.
