~~Jack Ernest Ingram, Sr.

IRONDALE - Jack Ernest Ingram, Sr., 86, of Irondale, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville.

He was born December 27, 1930, in Irondale, the son of the late Fletcher and Dorothy (Hackney) Ingram. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Diane Ingram; one son, Thomas Fletcher Ingram; two grandsons: Rob Millhorn and Josh Cochran; and two brothers: Donald Ingram and Thomas H. Ingram.

Jack served in the United States Army Airborne. He had been employed as a driver and mechanic for R & R Mack in Youngstown. He had also served his community of Irondale as a fireman and had previously worked as a policeman for several area departments, as well as having worked on the railroad. Jack was a member of the American Legion Post 70 in Wellsville. He was also a member of Word of Life Chapel.

Survivors include two daughters: Virginia Kay Ingram of Wintersville, and Carolyn Louise Ingram-Boyd and her husband, Ronald, of Canton, OH; three sons: Jack E. Ingram, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Richmond, OH, David Thomas Ingram of Lisbon, and Randy Ernest Ingram of Irondale; one sister, Janet Ries of Ovida, FL; and one brother, Wayne Ingram of Rockford, IL. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Stull of the church officiating. The Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.

Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
