Jackie Paul "Jack" Starkey, Sr.

ORLANDO, FL - Jackie Paul "Jack" Starkey, Sr., 84, of Orlando, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019, at Cornerstone Hospice Care Center in Orlando.

He was born March 4, 1935, in Wellsville, the son of the late Charles E. and Vena V. (Ward) Starkey. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his previous wife and the mother of his children, Delores J. Fryman, and also by his companion for many years, Helen Billingsley. Additionally, Jack was preceded in death by two sisters: Katherine and Elizabeth; and three brothers: Charles, Jr., Leroy, and Walter.

Jack attended Wellsville High School and then went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1955. Following his service, Jack worked on the assembly line at General Motors and Good Year, and he owned and operated Starkey Tri-State Auction. He was a member of the VFW Post 5647 in Wellsville. Jack attended the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Orlando.

Survivors include two daughters: Christy Starkey of Deltona, FL and Lorri Starkey of Treasure Island, FL; two sons: Jackie Paul Starkey, Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Orlando, FL and Todd Starkey and his girlfriend, Amy, of Odessa, FL; one sister, Jana, of Wellsville; and one brother, Jerry, of Wellsville. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Anzevino of Christian Assembly Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery where the Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
