James M. Clark

MARIETTA - James M. Clark, 72, of Marietta, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1947, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Bert and Ethel (Jacobs) Clark. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Clark.

Jim graduated from Wellsville High School in 1965 where he served as class photographer, and he attended college in Cleveland. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout. Jim served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Wellsville VFW Post 5647. He worked for Ashland/Marathon Industries for 36 years. Jim was a member of the Marietta Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah (Westlake) Clark, whom he married November 9, 1969; his daughter, Gretchen Musiek and her husband, Jeremy of Parma, OH; two sisters : Denise Mays and her husband, Bruce of East Liverpool, and Nancy Tripodi of Cortland, OH; one brother, Randy Clark and his wife, Sherry of East Liverpool; and four grandsons: Christopher, Jeremy, and Zachary Kelzenberg, and Jonathan Musiek.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at the Roberts Funeral Home with his brother, Pastor Randy Clark of the Union Ridge Bible Baptist Church officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by the Tri State Burial Group prior to the service.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for tributes to be made in Jim's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn 38105.
