James P. DeSarro

EAST LIVERPOOL - James P. DeSarro, 72, of East Liverpool, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

He was born September 7, 1940, in Wellsville, the son of the late John and Mary (Victorello) DeSarro.

Jim was employed as a caster for the former Sterling China Company in Wellsville, and then worked for the former T S & T China in Chester, WV. After Jim retired, he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby (Monroe) DeSarro, whom he married in August of 1992; two daughters: Mary Ice of Wellsville and Heather DeSarro of Toledo; one son: Robert DeSarro and his wife Mandy of East Liverpool; six sisters: Josephine Fleming of East Liverpool, Jeanne Cunningham of East Liverpool, Antonette Means of Canton, Caroline Larkins of TX, Shirley Curran of GA, and Theresa Ciotti of Pittsburgh; and two brothers: Jack DeSarro of East Liverpool and Jerry DeSarro of Salineville. Also surviving are ten grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

A Catholic Burial Rite will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, November 26, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Reverend Peter Haladej of the Holy Trinity Parish officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday, November 25, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
